CDS
The Competitive Development Stream (CDS) is an optional addition to House League and gives our youngest players (U7 to U9) their first opportunity to play competitively. CDS focuses on long-term player development in accordance with the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) Player Development Model and the GTHL Initiation Program. Highlights of this program include a smaller ice surface, simpler game structures, and increased ice time and puck-carrying. Players who are accepted onto a CDS team play on two teams their assigned House League team which practices at the Larry Grossman Forest Hill Memorial Arena, and their CDS team which plays in a circuit against other local hockey association teams.

FHHA House League players wishing to be part of the CDS program must first take part in a series of evaluations in September to be placed on a team with players of a similar skill. Our player evaluation is conducted over three development skates and two team tryouts. Our professional coaches will evaluate and place each participant on the appropriate team for their skill level.
